Damage Waiver
Under our terms and conditions of hire, once the machine has either been delivered to site or collected from us, you ‘the customer’ will assume all responsibility for the safe use and daily checks of the machine under the ‘CPA model conditions of hire’. This includes all loss and damage that could occur through its use.
For an additional cost Urban Access will agree to retain certain levels of responsibility and provide the following protection whether the plant is self operated or operated by Urban Access.
Urban Access will provide you with peace of mind when hiring expensive powered access equipment. Covering accidental damage, our damage waiver takes away expensive and time consuming damage charges. There are two forms of protection, ‘non–operated’ and ‘operated’ hire:
Non Operated Hire
For an additional 20% of the hire rate, Urban Access will retain responsibility for any loss or damage as a result of any accidental cause.
Examples of what we WILL pay for:
- Theft
- Malicious damage and vandalism
- Fire damage
Examples of what we WILL NOT pay for:
- The first £1,000 of any loss
- Damage by paint or over spray
- Damage to tracks
- Corrosion caused by chemicals and any corrosive agents
- Damage due to overloading
- Any damage caused by misuse or negligence
- Damage by fire where adequate preventative measures were not taken
- Theft where adequate precautions were not taken to secure the machine
- Damage to third party property or injury to any person whilst off a Public Highway, racing or whilst carrying persons for hire or reward
Operated Hire
When hired with one of Urban Access’s IPAF Qualified Operators, for an additional 10% of the hire rate, Urban Access will retain responsibility for any loss or damage as a result of any accidental cause.
Examples of what we WILL pay for:
- Damage to the machine
- Fire damage
- Damage caused by third parties
Examples of what we WILL NOT pay for:
- The first £1,000 of any loss
- Damage by paint or over spray
- Damage to tracks
- Corrosion caused by chemicals and any corrosive agents
- Third party property damage, except in the case of our operator’s negligence
